The War, demonstrates that in extraordinary times, there are no ordinary lives. His series of epic documentaries began with the landmark television series The Civil War and continued with Baseball and Jazz, a film that explores the birth of jazz music. He will preview his most recent film on America’s National Parks March 31st at 8pm at the Meyerson Symphony Center as a part of the Brinker International Forum.
Legal mumbo jumbo: I have 5 pairs of tickets (going in pairs only). First come-first serve. No crying if you don't make the cut. Multiple posts don't get you multiple tickets. The lecture is in Dallas, so don't post if you live in Sri Lanka, m'kay. Thanks goes to Erin at the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts for providing the tickets.

Tasting Tuesdays
I have no problem paying $100 for a bottle of single-malt Scotch, but I don't polish it off over dinner and conversation. But what about wine? With today's economy, a lot of us can't afford to drop $50-60 on a bottle of red. So, what's the best way to discover good, affordable wines?
Well here's the solution: Tuesday nights from 5:30 to 8:30pm, Dali will feature six special wines that retail for under $20. These are Paul Pinnell-approved "Gem Wines" You can come in and have a free taste of any wine, or taste all five for $10.
