Champagne & Summer Soba Anyone?
Tomorrow evening, 5 star Chef Teiichi Sakurai is offering an exclusive summer 5-course dinner pairing with Champagne. The menu consists of caviar aperitif with Mumm Napa Brut Prestige, Tom Spicer Micro Green Salad with Smoked Monkfish and Schramsberg Blanc de Noris, Sashimi with Citrus Sauce and Domaine Carneros Brut, Whitefish with Sea Urchin Butter Sauce (yum) paired with Perrier Jouet Grand Brut, Lobster Chawa Mushi with Summer Truffle (yum again) and Nicolas Feulillate Blanc de Blancs, Epernay. And finally, the fifth course will be Green Tea Soba with Kobe Beef and Taittinger Prestige Rose, Reims, NV. Oh, and dessert. Mouthful huh?

Summer Sunday's Lobster Bake - The Commissary
Okay, so it's not exactly Maine BUT...pretty fun nontheless. So every Sunday this summer The Commissary is offering a mouth-watering lobster bake including a bucket filled with corn, potatoes, tomatoes and 1.25 lbs of lobster with drawn butter. Summer Block Party - Tonight
Come out tonight to the SUMMER BLOCK PARTY in the Arts District, on the western end of Flora Street starting at 6 pm 'til midnight. There will be a free screening of the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?" at The Nasher with a live Blue Grass band, free exhibits, food carts, children's activites and tons o tons of fun! Plus it's summer and it's about being outside & enjoying your Arts District neighborhood (will be much cooler than daytime). Park at One Arts Plaza for only $5 (cheapest by far) and ride the Art Cart for free. Enjoy!
