Virtual Tour of One Arts Plaza

Well there’s nothing quite like being at the Plaza, but with today’s technology you can at least take a virtual tour on your PC while waiting to get off work.

Things are really starting to cool off, so you’ll probably want to get down to One Arts this week and enjoy the last of the sunshine before the time change. Of course if you’re a native Texan you’ll want to eat inside—‘cause to us, 60 degrees is freezing!

Urban Pedigree

When people think about urban living, they immediately think they’ll have to give up owning a pet. This isn’t the case at One Arts Plaza. In fact, we love animals so much we’ve decided to do a profile on some of the great dogs of OAP.

Many of the residents have told us how wonderful it is to be able to keep a dog in their home. It was important to them to not lose something so basic as owning a pet just because they decided to give up all of that landscaping in Highland Park.

And what do the pets think of urban living? Sure there aren’t any squirrels to chase, but when the concierge hands you a doggy treat and a pat on the head…,well city life ain’t so bad.

We’ll be featuring profiles of each dog in the weeks to come. We may even have an online contest so you can vote for your favorite pooch.

Hmmm…I wonder how much hate mail we’re going to get from cats…?

Dine Like a Pharaoh

Our restaurants got a nice little plug over on dallasnews.com. Thanks for that NY strip description—I'm starving! Good thing it's almost 5:30.

Feelin' Blue, Cowboy?

So, your team is in a slump. You're wondering if Romo and the Boys will be watching the Super Bowl at home again this year.

Let's look on the brighter side of life! You can still come out to Jorge's tonight. Remember: it's Margarita Mondays—only $6!
See, now don't you feel better? You can always look at the silver lining like Coach Wade.

Fedora Website is Up

If you’re the kind of person who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine, who wants the tomato sauce to taste like Mama cooked it, and if you thought The Sopranos was a reality show—then yeah, you’re ready to visit fedoradallas.com.

Fedora is the newest restaurant at One Arts Plaza, from owner Gina Campisi (yeah, that Campisi!) featuring Executive Chef David Peck. The site provides everything you wanted to know about the restaurant including history, menu and catering info.

Check back here and on Fedora’s website to find out about the grand opening (rumor has it being this week). Don't forget—or we may have to send Tony and the boys over to take you for a little ride.

Hook 'em out to Jorge's for
Texas-OU weekend!

Except for the possibility of the Cowboys winning a playoff game, this weekend is the biggest sports event this season: Texas vs OU. This great tradition of college football may not be within Dallas much longer (see Jerry Jones & his amazing new facilities out in Arlington), so make hay while the sun shines and come down to Jorge's for an old-fashioned Tex-Mex football party.

Drink Specials include:
House Margarita $ 6.00
Beer bucket (w/5 domestic) $15.00
Beer bucket (w/5 imported) $20.00
Plus, tons of appetizers.

Even if you're from the wrong side of the Red River, we'll be glad to have you.

The Tut Bus

Today begins the exhibit Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs at the Dallas Museum of Art. This exhibit will be in the US for an encore showing in only three cities! Don't miss out on your chance to explore this wonderful collection firsthand.

And while you're down in the Dallas Arts District, we're offering a FREE shuttle to and from the museum and One Arts Plaza. After spending the day at the DMA, ride the shuttle over for a delicious dinner at one of our world-class restaurants.

You can't miss the shuttle, we promise--just look at the pic.
